Our quarterly data dashboard is a snapshot of how our work across government supports our vision of enabling better outcomes for New Zealanders.

Visions of success

Key pieces of work – either underway or delivered – are profiled, with each linked to one or more of our three visions of success:

• Innovation – share data and releasing open data to drive innovation – measures the number of open datasets released on data.govt.nz.
• Data-driven decisions – capability is built to ensure data is used smarter to meet priorities – measures the number of approved/in progress research project applications (opportunities to put New Zealand’s data to good use).
• Valuable data – data is managed like a strategic asset to maximise its value – measures one-on-one engagements inside and outside of government.

Each quarter we include an overview of who (or how) we’re collaborating and partnering, and showcase a particular piece of work.

The timeline documents recent activities and looks ahead to what’s on the radar.

International connections

Our international connections reflect one-on-one engagements with governments and organisations across the globe to build our own capability and share our world-leading good practice data know-how.
