In February and March 2016 Open Data NZ held a series of conversations with leading international open data experts, including Richard Stirling. These internationally renowned experts talked with New Zealanders about the work happening both here and around the globe, and shared their knowledge and expertise.
Richard Stirling was the International Director of the Open Data Institute. Based in London, the institute was founded by Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Sir Nigel Shadbolt in 2012 to connect, equip and inspire people around the world to promote innovation with open data.
