This would improve transparency in the property market. It would enable buyers and sellers to make more informed decisions about the value of a property before making or accepting an offer.
Opening up this information would also allow analysis by journalists and individuals parties. Currently much of the information about the property market comes from real estate agents who have a vested interest to talk the market up.
