MBIE would like the Group’s guidance about issues raised by electricity retailers given the widening use of administrative data usage where this data also has commercial uses. MBIE would also like advice from the Group to Stats NZ about any additional protocols for access to administrative data where there is a risk that this data could be used for commercial purposes.

Members will hear an expert overview of the IDI from Professor Richie Poulton. He will be supported by Anna McDowell who will to answer technical questions where needed.

The intent of the index is to replace the decile system as a means of funding schools on the basis of socio-economic barriers their students face.
